SciDog receives double funding boost!

Apr 22, 2025

Exciting news from the University of Bern: Our SciDog project has been awarded two grants to kickstart its development!

SciDog is the first AI-powered chatbot designed to provide reliable, science-based knowledge about dogs. It builds on peer-reviewed research and aims to make science-based information more accessible to those who need it most — from dog professionals to curious dog lovers.

We’re proud and grateful to have received: The UniBE Inno Grant from the University of Bern, supporting innovative ideas with real-world impact, and a generous research grant from the Albert-Heim Foundation, which supports research projects on dogs.
These two funding sources allow us to take important next steps in developing and scientifically evaluating the SciDog prototype.
The project is being carried out at the University of Bern, in collaboration with an amazing interdisciplinary team of experts in behavioural biology, veterinary science, data science, and software engineering.

We’re incredibly thankful for this support — and we’ll be sharing more updates very soon!
